Menopolooza 2025: Laughter, Learning, and a Whole Lot of Passion
Menopolooza 2025 in Victoria was deeply inspiring — a blend of science, wisdom, laughter, and vulnerability.
Two weeks ago, the energy in the room was palpable as 150 women spent two days together learning, sharing, and connecting around experiences of perimenopause and the menopause continuum — stories that are so often left unspoken, and too often invalidated.
Every speaker was a woman from right here in BC — each bringing professional knowledge, lived experience, and incredible passion to her work and her talk. Together, the women in the room created a space where honesty, self-compassion, knowledge, and lived experience took centre stage.

I had the incredible opportunity to speak about sexual wellness and pleasure — often-taboo topics that are close to my heart. My presentation, “Solo or Partnered — Menopause is Not the End of Your Sex Life!” was informed by the experiences women have shared with me over the years, my own journey with surgical menopause, and my background in social work and social policy. Sexual wellness isn’t just about sex — it’s a vital part of overall well-being, and one that deserves to be talked about openly and without shame. It’s about reconnecting with your body, fostering curiosity, openness, and genuine connection, and giving yourself the freedom to explore pleasure without expectation — while embracing the wisdom that comes from within. |

As a Sexual Wellness Advocate, through Island Passion I’m excited to keep these conversations going by offering online resources, workshops, talks, curated products, consultations, a mobile boutique, and “Not Your Mama’s Tupperware Party” in-home parties!
